Coronavirus: Centre closed for forseeable future

We are running a number of FREE initiatives for both our members and older people in the community during the pandemic.

Prescription delivery service: If you are elderly and unable to collect your prescription we will collect it from Winchcombe Medical Centre and deliver it to you. These deliveries are taking place three mornings a week,  using our staff Ian, Bev and Rob in our BeSocial minibus. Call the Medical Centre to arrange your delivery if you are elderly and vulnerable or self-isolating.

Games, books, puzzles delivered to your door: We are also providing older people with jigsaws, books, DVDS, colouring and puzzle books to help keep them entertained during this time. Items are dettol-sprayed and left on the doorstep. Deliveries three times a week using our minibus and staff.

Facebook news and support: We are regularly posting items of support for our members and the wider community via our Facebok page, BeSocialmembers@LangleyRoad. If you have a family member, relative or neighbour who would benefit from this support please share it with them if you can do so safely and without putting them at risk, observing social distancing and self-isolation guidelines.

Calls and quizzes: Our staff are calling our members several times a week to check they are ok, to have a chat and share items of interest and do puzzles together. This is designed to ensure members do not feel isolated or lonely during this difficult time.

If you need any more informatjion about these initiaves please view our Facebook page, or call us on 01242 603207. Leave a message if necessary, calls are monitored regularly, or email us at: info@besocialwinchcombe.com.

Leisure and learning for all - all classes cancelled until further notice

Discover what BeSocial@theCentre has to offer - and it could mark the start of a new way of life.

Our courses, classes, activities and events are open to the whole community - whatever your age. We offer everything from gentle exercise, sport, beauty treatments and language classes, to a monthly lunch, Tea Dance and Dance with Parkinson's & MS classes.

You'll find our tutors are experienced and welcoming and really know how to get the best from their students. Many of our classes are held at our BeSocial Centre in Langley Road, Winchcombe, others take place in venues around the town.

To see full details of what we offer, where, when and who to contact, see our Timetable of events

We also run the popular BeSocial Club for older members of the community (formerly the Day Care Centre).

Members join us for up to three days a week and enjoy activities, entertainment and outings. It's a chance to socialise, meet new friends (and old ones), and be supported in a welcoming and safe environment with tasty hot lunches and regular refreshments included.

The benefits of becoming a BeSocial Club member are many and varied. To find out more, or to register a friend or relative for a free trial day, please visit our Members page.

If you are a tutor or instructor and would like to share your subject with others, please get in touch about running classes at BeSocial@theCentre.
