We run the popular BeSocial Club for older members of the community (formerly the Day Care Centre).
Members join us for up to three days a week and enjoy activities & entertainment. It's a chance to socialise, meet new friends (and old ones), and be supported in a welcoming and safe environment with tasty hot lunches and regular refreshments included.
Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 restrictions we are unable to offer our free transport service at present - but we've been working hard on detailed, new procedures to help keep our members, volunteers and staff safe and minimise the spread of the virus.
Rigorous cleaning and sanitising will take place throughout the day of 'high touch' areas and professional deep cleans and electrostatic fogging will also take place.
We have staggered the arrival and departure times of members and are limiting numbers to just nine members per day to enable social distancing. Sadly we cannot take any new members while Covid-19 restrictions are in place.
The building is closed to all visitors.
We will entertain our members with 'in-house' games, talks, gentle movement, music and quizzes that can be done safely without exchange of equipment and our staff will wear PPE when appropriate.
Please see our Risk Assessment policy - and the detailed Covid-19 procedures we are following, that are all available on our Useful Links page.
Our Covid-19 Policies and Procedures document gives full details of how we will be running the Centre and supporting our members, staff and volunteers at this time. If you have any questions after reading the information, please get in touch.
The benefits of becoming a BeSocial Club member are many and varied. To find out more, or to register a friend or relative for a no obligation trial day, please visit our Members page.
